the Tide rents for $900/nt, or the Casa
Madrona, or Altimira charge more than
$300/nt. for just a simple hotel room.

This location is the best   Alternatively;
north of Sausalito, including Tiburon, you have
traffic gridlock, downtown Sausalito hotels
sound like Diesel trucks, the house boats can
be grungy, and San Francisco can be cold,
grey, and expensive. Condos high on the hill in
Sausalito make the most sense because San
Francisco, Miur Woods, the beach, Sausalito
restaurants and Marina, and wine country are
all just minutes away. The Express Bus stops
across the street and takes you straight to the
Financial District!

High on the hill, this quiet and relaxing, view,
condo is the perfect place to enjoy the Bay
Area. The open floor plan is functional and
spacious. It is comfortable and tastefully
furnished with a large couch and giant screen
TV. You might think you were on the
Mediterranean Italian coast – except that San
Francisco, Muir Woods Redwood Forest, and
the Wine Country, are just nearby. There is
another condo below, but this property is
essentially a free standing house with views in
many directions, so it does not feel like a hotel
room. The property is near both Tiburon and
Sausalito. These are charming waterfront
towns with ferry service to San Francisco,
Angel Island, Mount Tamalpais, movies, cafes,
great restaurants with waterfront dining, and
shopping. The owner/manager lives nearby
and can assist you with emergencies. You get
all the comforts of home including a
washer/dryer and complete furnished kitchen.

Getting There and Away Driving a car of
your own in San Francisco is more trouble
than it is worth. The City has cable cars and a
new trolly/rail system. The Sausalito Taxi can
take you to the ferry, or the bus pad on
Highway 101. During commute hours the #2
bus will pick you up less than a block away
from the condo and take you to the Financial
District, or Fisherman's Wharf. You can rent a
car for the day to go to Muir Woods and Napa.

North Bay Taxi is quick, reliable, and open
late at night. It makes the most sense if you
have more than one person. The taxi can also
take you to the bus pad on Highway 101 where
you can get numerous express buses into San
Francisco, or the Marin Airporter to the airport.
The cost is generally about $10 to take you to
town, or to the ferry; 415 332-2200. You can
take the Marin Airporter, see below, to the
Sausalito bus pad on Highway 101, and the
bus driver will call ahead and the Sausalito
Taxi will be waiting for you when you arrive
(very reliable, cheap, and convenient).

Yellow Cab from the City If you need to get
around late at night, you might spend $25 from

511 (toll-free) this is the best number for
assistance and trip planning, or 415-455-2000
(outside the Bay Area).
Route 2; (your stop would be Donahue and
Sherwood Drive). This is the week day express
bus for commuters. The bus stop is within a
block of the condo. This is the best bus, but it
only runs during commute hours.
Route 10; this is the bus you take if you
cannot
take the commuter bus as shown above. It
runs every hour almost all the time up until
about 9 PM. The stop, at Marin City is at
Donahue and Turners which is about four
blocks from the condo.
Route 15; takes you to Mill Valley and
Tiburon  The bus stop is about 4 blocks away.
Route 22; takes you to the Sausalito Ferry
most days, and runs until about 9 PM.
